Conceiving God's Word

Through meditation the creative ability of God is developed in your heart. The things God wants to do for you must be conceived in your spirit before they become a reality in your life.

Here is an example from the New Testament of how you can give birth to the Word of God in the earth:

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

And the angel came in unto her, and said,

Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name

JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man ?

And the angel answered and said unto her,

The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Luke 1:26-35

The angel told Mary of an event that was absolutely impossible. Never before in history had a woman given birth to a child that was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

If you think you are facing impossible situations, consider Mary's. It had to be accomplished by the Holy Spirit, or it would not be done at all.

Every time God gives you an assignment, He will require you to make a step of faith. God is a faith God, and He requires faith of His people. You're required to move by faith. Then it becomes the responsibility of the Holy Spirit to bring it to pass.

If you have a situation in your life that looks impossible, God said something to Mary that you need to hear. He said, For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). There isn't a situation in your life beyond the realm of possibility with God.

Notice in verse 34 Mary asked the angel a question: How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

The angel had also visited a man named Zacharias and told him he would have a son. To Zacharias this was an impossibility since his wife Elisabeth was barren. Zacharias also asked the angel a question: Whereby shall I know this? (v. 18). In other words, "How do I know you are telling the truth?"

From these two examples we learn that it must be permissible to ask a question of an angel.
